Below the ancient Waterberg mountains, Shambala Private Game Reserve nestles in a vast landscape of pristine African bushveld. Covering almost 10 000 hectares of natural countryside in South Africa’s Limpopo Province, the reserve is home to a rich diversity of magnificent wildlife including the Big Five. The game roam free, from the thundering rhino to the proud lion, where the mighty elephant trumpets its power and the cry of the fish eagle brings Africa to life.

Looking out over the African veld, I marvel at the unique gentleness, love and warmth with which the African sun puts her bush to bed, secure in the knowledge that her beloved animals are revered, always protected, always preserved, a gift for future generations.
